Every site that comes into Concierge Cloud gets audited and placed on the server environment that fits it best. A dynamic membership site has very different hosting needs than a content blog… not just in hardware, but in server configuration. From there, I tune the settings for that specific site. Nothing here is set-and-forget.
Speed
ServersMultiple servers on Hetzner’s cloud infrastructure. I keep them over-powered for the number of sites on them, and set up precisely for performance.
Server TuningEach server is optimized for particular types of sites. Nginx or OpenLiteSpeed depending on the server, with tuned PHP, database, caching and memory settings.
CachingTailored to the type of site: Nginx caching, LiteSpeed Cache and Cloudflare edge caching, plus local options like FlyingPress when needed.
Data CentersUS clients are usually in Ashburn, VA (“data center alley”). EU clients are on servers in Germany. I host you as close to your location as possible.
Image OptimizationMost hosts leave this up to you. I consider it mission-critical for performance, so I handle it, powered by ShortPixel.
Safety
BackupsA 3-2-1 strategy: BlogVault as the base layer, nightly backups to Cloudflare R2, mirrored to a NAS in my Florida office and to Synology C2. Plus server-level backups at Hetzner. Backups are the LAST thing you need to worry about.
RestoresFull or partial, I handle it. I can even restore to a temporary staging site so you can browse an old version without touching your live site.
ProtectionMultiple firewalls, including custom Cloudflare rules that keep most bots from ever reaching your site. Constant scanning for malware and vulnerable plugins. When something comes up, I handle it before you even know about it.
UpdatesCore, themes and plugins, kept current. It’s a fundamental part of running a WordPress site, and most hosts won’t do it for you. I will.

How is Concierge Cloud different from other hosting providers?
For one, this isn’t just hosting. It’s full WordPress support PLUS hosting. Other hosts give you infrastructure, a dashboard and a support widget. With Concierge Cloud, you have a web guy to call on who knows your site well.
Also, most web hosts are built for numbers. Nothing is tailored to the individual site. Concierge Cloud is built and managed ONLY for Concierge clients. Different sites have different needs, and I handle that proactively.
Will my site go down during the move?
No. Switching hosts can feel intimidating… most people worry about downtime, errors, or something breaking along the way. I handle the whole migration carefully, with no interruption to your visitors. You don’t touch a thing.
Do you sell by CPU, RAM, bandwidth or storage limits?
No. I don’t nickel and dime my clients like that. My job is to make sure your site performs well and has the resources it needs. There are no hard caps on storage or bandwidth, and every server is over-equipped with CPU and RAM. If your site ever needs more power, just tell me. Usually I’ll have done it already.
How do site backups work?
Several layers. Every site is backed up daily by BlogVault, with granular restores going back 90 days. Every site is also backed up daily to Cloudflare R2, mirrored to a NAS in my Florida office and to Synology C2. And full server image backups are kept at my infrastructure provider.
Backups are the last thing you need to worry about. It just happens.
What security measures are in place?
Real-time malware scanning, Cloudflare WAF (web application firewall) rules, SSL certificates and 24/7 monitoring. My custom security rules at the Cloudflare edge usually keep bots from ever reaching your site. Rules can also be tailored per site, depending on the integrations you have in place.
Can Concierge Cloud handle high-traffic sites?
Absolutely. There’s caching at the Cloudflare edge plus server-side caching, so traffic spikes aren’t a problem. Where Concierge Cloud really stands out, though, is horsepower for dynamic sites like memberships… that’s the story at the top of this page.
Do you offer staging sites?
Of course. More than one if you need it. Just ask and I’ll deploy a full staging copy of your site, so you can test without any risk to your live site. When it’s time to push things live, I’ll help with that too.
Is email hosting included?
No, and on purpose. Concierge Cloud is built for WordPress. I could offer email hosting, but I couldn’t do it well, because it isn’t my focus. A lot of commodity hosts throw email in as an afterthought… and it often makes it harder to switch hosts later.
I’d rather YOU be in full control of your own email, with a service that excels at it. Host it wherever you like (I often recommend Google Workspace or Fastmail) and I’ll help you set it up. It’s part of my principle of digital sovereignty for my clients.
What happens if I cancel?
You’re never locked in. You can request full access to your hosting environment anytime. If you decide to move on, I’ll migrate your site to any host you choose, at no cost. Premium plugins licensed through Concierge get de-licensed so you can handle updates going forward. I will never alter your site or remove anything on your way out the door.
Am I trusting you to stay in business?
I get it. Putting your site in the care of a one-man show can feel riskier than a big corporation. Here’s my take…
First, you’re on the same infrastructure as “the big guys.” Concierge Cloud runs in the same kind of data centers a big-name host would use. The difference is that I built it for my own clients, so I can tailor it to them. It isn’t as if your site is hosted in my garage. 🤪
Second, with a big host you’re one account out of thousands and nobody there knows your site. I personally oversee your performance, security, backups and uptime, and I know how every piece of your setup fits together.
Third, your site is backed up six ways to Sunday, and WordPress sites are easy to move. Every client has instructions to self-migrate out of Concierge Cloud without even telling me, and most hosts offer free migration anyway. Nothing about leaving requires my approval.
